Annually, as participants in the National Black History Month celebration, the Inter-Club Council of El Paso hosts a Black History Month Parade and Festival. The parade usually consists of the members of the Inter Club Council, along with friends of the community. It focuses on the National theme established for Black History Month. The theme for the 2008 celebration is “Carter G. Woodson and the Origins of Multiculturalism."
We would consider it an honor if you would once again join us in the celebration of Black History Month by participating in the 2008 parade; therefore, this letter becomes an official invitation. We certainly hope you will decide to join us and participate in the parade by entering a float, car banner or sign to help display the progress we have made thus far. Help us give hope to others by showing that we are a community with history, tradition and pride that is on the path toward empowerment in unity. If you, cannot submit an entry, but would like to participate in the Festival or assist in some other way, that would be greatly appreciated.
